As part of the Bridges Wharf luxury hotel development, Lumaglass was specified to create a feature wall to divide and protect the road access to the hotel from the main Helicopter landing strip, while maintaining an air of elegance and exclusivity.
This development is the first integrated hotel-heliport solution in the world, and Lumaglass were delighted to be involved in such a ground-breaking venture.
Working with D. Wilson Architectural Metalwork, we installed a 2.4m high curved Lumaglass screen within a canopy framework, using SP26 clear toughened sandblasted glass, with a white light. Once installed, the sweeping screen acts as a guide to the main lobby while protecting pedestrians from the down wash from the helicopter landing pad.
A comprehensive and sensible installation which does its job while echoing the design-led, artistic nature of the development.
