Light pollution can be defined as any form of artificial light which shines outside the area it needs to illuminate, including light that is directed above the horizontal into the night sky creating sky glow (which impedes our views of the stars), or which creates a danger by glare.
Excessive levels of luminance and glare, which is inappropriate to its need and which has been poorly designed, directed operated and maintained, will cause much artificial light nuisance. At Lumaglass™ we believe in keeping up to date with local statutory requirements, and it is preferable to address any potential issues at the planning stage.
The light source that Lumaglass uses is electroluminescent, therefore, it is aniridescent light source rather than anincandescent. This means the light given off by the Lumaglass™system will only light the immediate area. Lumaglass™ glows rather than glares - a light to be seen not to see by.
