Lumaglass™ Our Patented Glazing System

Lumaglass™ is a patent granted system, that combines Electroluminescence (EL) technology with a highly reliable and versatile profiled glass system. EL material is produced by exposing the phosphor crystals to alternating current (AC) power supply. The particles are excited by the voltage and frequency and emit a light.

There are two main ways of producing light: the first is incandescence and the second is luminescence. Incandescence light is generated when a electric current is passed through a conductor (filament) whose resistance to the passage of current produces heat. The greater the heat of the filament, the more light it produces. "Luminescence", in contrast is the name given to "all forms of visible radiant energy emitted due to causes other than temperature". "Electroluminescence" is the production of visible light, generated by a substance exposed to an electric field without thermal energy generation.

As apposed to most EL products that are silk-screen printed and are therefore limited to a maximum size and connection location, Lumaglass™ EL lamp is produced in long continuous rolls. This allows us to use an uninterrupted light up to 7 m long. Our EL light manufacturing process allows unparalleled quality and size with the ability to easily fabricate into different widths, lengths and shapes. Our master rolls are cut to variety of standard widths and lengths and can be modified or custom cut for specific needs, likewise our glass planks can be cut to any size up to 7m. With few components and a practical design process the Lumaglass™ system combines versatility with exceptional performance to produce an outstanding glazing and accent lighting product.
