The Westcrowns Group was established in Scotland in 1873 and has over 130 years experience within the glazing industry. In 1992, Lumaglass™ was launched to solely look after the Pilkington Profilit™ System throughout the UK and Ireland. This profiled Glass has been produced in Germany for over 35 years and is accepted as a standard building component for large-scale construction projects.

Our initial remit from Pilkington was to efficiently supply the product for the replacement market, while also providing the necessary technical support. It became abundantly clear that the product had a concentrated demand within innovative architectural practices.

From this point onwards, demand for the system has substantially grown within the UK and Ireland. The key to the success of the Profilit™ system is that we have been able to support this innovative product with a level of customer service and installation quality that exceeds our clients' expectations. This is reinforced by the constant re-specification of the system by architects, contractors and building users alike.

Lumaglass™, the Westcrowns Group and Pilkington enjoy a unique and successful relationship that stretches over 125 years.
