General Information

Unlike traditional sources of illumination, Lumaglass™ is not a resistive light source, but rather functions more as a capacitor. A distinctive, thin scribe line down the centre of the rear electrode is a design feature that allows for extremely long Lumaglass™ (up to 6.5 metres). There is no appreciable change in the temperature of the lamp when operating.

Safety

Whilst Lumaglass™ has been designed with built-in protection to ensure the safety of the installer and the end user, should accidental damage occur the system is designed to protect the user in the event of an accident. The power supply will automatically fuse both in the inverter and at the power inlet, the instant an open or short circuit is detected rendering the Lumaglass™ wall inert.
